Best holiday tag sizes
A 2 by 3.5 inch tag works for most gifts. Use 1.5 by 2.5 inches for stocking stuffers and 3 by 5 inches for family gifts that need longer notes.
Paper choice
Use 80 lb cover stock for everyday tags. Choose kraft stock for rustic wrapping, white matte cardstock for ink-heavy designs, and shimmer cardstock only when your printer can handle the finish.
Batch cutting order
Print all names after final proofing, cut vertical strips first, then cut individual tags. Punch holes after cutting so every hole sits in the same spot.
Storage
Sort extra tags into small envelopes: family, teacher, neighbor, work, and blank. Label the envelope before packing holiday supplies away.
